I am a practicing licensed marriage and family therapist. For the past 10 years I have worked in the crisis mental healthcare system. There I encountered clients at some of the worst times in their lives. I created a space and container for them to be in the moment. To be messy, to be where they were at that stage of discomfort, and be able to sit with that. I worked with some of the world's most marginalized and disenfranchised populations who were in a constant struggle of survival with a system that was deliberately built against them.

Fire is transformation

I am willing to try to burn down the whole world for you. 

That can mean - those bridges that do not serve you. That can be false narratives about the self, that can be transformation of the self. 
I am willing to believe you - no one knows you better than you know yourself. I don’t care what the doctor, family, school said, I care what you say. 

I am here holding space for your healing and growth. I am here to help you advocate for yourself and to yourself. I am here to hold up a mirror, and a challenge where you need it, and show up for you when you can’t.

Away from the office

Outside of my role as a counselor I enjoy embroidering subversive art pieces, caring for my plants that desperately cling to life in the sunless PNW, and crafting my own personalized tea blends and sipping on them while relaxing with my cats and reading fantasy/sci-fi novels (N.K. Jeminsin, Becky Chambers, Rebecca Roanhorse, etc).
